Friends and Family!
We have made it back to the Pacific NorthWest and have begun to settle in quite nicely here in Vancouver. For an undetermined time, we will be staying with Kaylyn's parents. I (Brady) will continue to work for Swiftpage as a remote Sales Representative and Kaylyn will work for GAP Inc at the Old Navy location in the Vancouver Mall.
We are very happy to be home and to have friends and family much, much closer. God continues to guide us, as much as we fight against him, and continues to provide for us, as little as we thank him for it. He is a faithful god!
We are praying about joining close friends of mine (Brady) in Italy for a stint with Youth With a Mission next spring. Kaylyn would attend a DTS and I would work on staff at the YWAM Pescara base. This truly is an exciting time for us, as we lean on eachother, our friends and family and Jesus for guidance. Please join us in the journey by praying for us!
If you're in the Portland Metro area and would like to see us, please let us know! We'd love to visit with old Friends!
Happy Summer!

A Good Snow! ...Finally!

Hello All, From the Land of White (sometimes)!
Here we are, January 12th and all of our previous complaints of the lack of snow here in Denver are subsiding. Yes, be it three weeks late, the snow is here!
That's our car, the second one from the bottom, outside my (Brady's) window at work.
About 4 inches fell before we left for work, and at 10:30 there's another inch and a half, with snow still falling.
It amazes us, that a place like Denver, where you would think it snows often, has such terrible traffic problems when white stuff hits the ground. It's not like they're cancelling school or anything (points to the Northwest) but a normally 15 minute commute turning into 35-40? Come on now?
Anyhow, it's a beautiful day here in Denver! (Those of you who live in the Portland area or Spokane, sorry about the picture which probably conjures up nightmares of some sort!)

Happy (late) Holidays
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Over the last three weeks as the Northwest was dumped on with the fluffy white stuff, we've "enjoyed" beautiful clear, sunny days with temperatures reaching the mid sixties. A new phenomenon I'm labeling "Snow Envy" has certainly come into affect though. Yes we've had a small bit of snow this year (maybe 6 inches total) but it seems quite ironic that the first year we are away from the Northwest for Christmas it DUMPS!
With the New Year come a few changes for us. Kaylyn started school yesterday (The 5th) and I started working in the Sales Department at Swiftpage full time. This comes with a new office, a raise and much more fulfilling and enjoyable work. Swiftpage has been quite a blessing for us in this transition in our lives.
Christmas was an interesting time as both of us deeply missed our families and friends. We spent the day watching movies and cooking. Overall it was a good day with a high of 55.
New Years was quite less eventful. Kaylyn was asleep by 10:30, I watched the ball drop and was asleep shortly after.
We'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and send a congratulations out to Angela who just got engaged, as well as our good friends Eric and Charlotte Bohlmann who have just announced they are expecting! We are happy for you guys!

End of October
This week, in preparation for Halloween (and the Election), we carved ourselves some punkins. Kaylyn's (on the right) was done in a few minutes, whereas I was still working on mine (Gov. Palin) after Kaylyn returned from an ice cream and movie run. Now we are showing our support for McCain/Palin (I think that's what that is doing) on our porch.
Stay tuned for pictures of our apartment, now that it's all set up and clean, as well as pictures of Denver in the fall.

Our First Camping trip and our First Car (Together)

Two weeks ago we made our second "big" purchase. (First being our living room furniture.) A 2002 Toyota Sequoia now sits outside our apartment in the closest parking space to our door. We drove the Sequoia at the dealership and fell in love with it. With all we hear about Denver winters (and our desire to make it to the mountains and back this winter) we figured a 4x4 would be a good idea. This car is the nicest car we've ever driven on a consistent basis. We are excited to get out and use it in the snow (which sounds like it's just around the corner).
Over the weekend we made a trip into the hills to spend a night in a tent (most people call this camping). We left late Friday night and ended up setting up our tent by headlights of our new TOYota. After building a fire and roasting hot dogs and baking beans we readied ourselves to snuggle in to our warm (yeah, right) tent. We made the treck down the gravel road to the "facilities". Kaylyn was astonished at the provisions for a restroom. (USFS Outhouse).
We froze friday night and awoke early Saturday morning. Making hot dogs and corned beef and hash we fed ourselves and began packing up camp. The morning was beautiful and the drive back into town was great! The colors of the leaves on the trees (albeit, we missed prime color by about a week) were still incredible.
Saturday ended with an evening with some friends from YWAM. Luke and Lydia Martin (and Sarah). We had dinner and some great fellowship with the Martins and hope to continue to have time to spend with them.
Things are still "well" here in Denver. We still miss our friends and family and our Pacific North West. We are starting to get more adjusted, hoping to settle in to a church that fits our desires for worship and fellowship.
That's all for this week. Stay tuned for more updates from The Mannings...

DENVER!

As many of you know, much has changed for the two of us in the last 6 weeks. A wedding, a big move, new jobs, new apartment, new couch and chair...
Yes, the list seems to go on and on. It's about time we set up this Blog to share our "news" with you as it happens. After all, it is you, our friends and family, that have gotten us to this point in our lives. We invite you to share in our journey as we progress along. We will do our best to post videos, pictures and current updates of what we're up to here in Denver.
Thanks for all you do for us!
Brady and Kaylyn
